The new Squadron patch was designed through a collective effort of all the Squadron members. 

The final design was approved by the Texas Wing Commander (final approving authority for SQ patches), Col Tom Todd; May 2001.

The Airplane is the P51 Mustang that our squadron is named after.

"TX051" is our squadron number.

"Semper Vigilans" is the CAP Motto- Latin for Always Vigilant.

The Texas Flag represents the state our squadron is located in.

Plano Mustangs is our Squadron name.
